Cloud Migration for a Non-Profit

Replacing a single on-premise Exchange server with cloud email and communications

Challenge. The organization ran email through a single on-premise Exchange server. It was the only one, so when it went down, email and communications went down with it, with nothing to fall back on. On top of that, maintaining and repairing the aging hardware was a recurring cost with no clear ceiling.

Solution. We migrated the organization to the cloud, moving email and core communications to Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) and retiring the single in-house server. The transition was sequenced to keep staff working throughout, with identity, access, and backups configured as part of the move.

Result. With email and communications now running on Microsoft’s cloud platform instead of one aging box, availability for those systems reached 99.999% and the single point of failure was gone. IT costs dropped by about 30% once the on-premise hardware was retired, and the organization traded unpredictable repair bills for a steady, plannable monthly cost.

Cybersecurity Overhaul for a Manufacturer

Closing compliance gaps and putting formal IT policy in place

Challenge. A growing manufacturer had compliance gaps and no formal IT policies. Day-to-day security decisions were made ad hoc, leaving sensitive data and system access without consistent rules to fall back on.

Solution. We deployed native security tooling and endpoint protection across the environment, then wrote custom IT policies covering data handling and access. The work paired practical safeguards on every device with written standards the team could actually follow.

Result. Compliance improved measurably, data is now handled under clear and consistent rules, and access to systems is governed and reviewable. The manufacturer moved from reacting to issues to operating on a defined security baseline.
