Our Story

Founded in Georgia, built around your mission

On Point Technology GA was founded right here in Georgia to give nonprofits, small businesses, and community organizations access to the kind of strategic IT leadership usually reserved for much larger teams. From the start, the goal has been to act as a long-term partner who plans technology around where an organization is headed, not a vendor who only shows up when something breaks.

Most of the organizations we serve are doing important work with limited resources. They need technology that is secure, reliable, and aligned with what they are trying to accomplish, without the overhead of a full in-house IT department. We meet that need by combining day-to-day support with the kind of forward planning that keeps small problems from becoming expensive ones.

Founder Justin Lanning brings together two backgrounds that rarely appear in the same person: a career in information technology and credentials as a chaplain. That mix gives On Point Technology GA a distinctive perspective on serving faith-based and community organizations. It treats the relationship as more than a transaction and takes the time to understand the mission before recommending the technology.

Meet Justin Lanning

Founder & Principal Consultant

Justin Lanning founded On Point Technology GA to bring practical, security-first IT to the organizations that need it most. His experience spans IT support, cybersecurity, cloud and infrastructure migrations, network design, and strategic consulting, the same breadth of work he now leads for clients across North Georgia and Metro Atlanta.

That technical work is backed by recognized credentials. On Point Technology GA is a Microsoft Partner and a Cisco Networking Academy, which means Justin both delivers technology built on industry-standard practices and teaches the official Cisco curriculum to the next generation of IT professionals. He works toward and maintains certifications across the networking, security, and Microsoft 365 disciplines that shape his recommendations.

Alongside his IT career, Justin holds chaplaincy credentials. That background informs how he listens, how he communicates, and how he approaches the faith-based and community organizations the company serves. It is the reason technology conversations here start with the mission and the people, then move to the tools, never the other way around.
